I started installing Arch Linux and it seemed to go very smooth. After getting halfway through the wiki article I gave in.

Arch is probably very good, when you have a lot of time on your hands and know Linux like the back of your hand.

All I want is to install the basic core system with GNOME, and then tweak the system. I do not want to tweak an then install.

I’m giving Debian a go, but I might try Arch again if that fails. So far it seems like I might end up installing Fedora, as usual.
