Yesterday I came across #! CrunchBang Linux, as I were looking for distros that uses OpenBox as a default VM.

I installed it on my Eee PC 701 without any issues at all. It worked out-of-the-box and the boot time is amazing. So far I really enjoy using #!, but there is just one small thing that annoys me a little bet (of course). It’s based on Ubuntu, a distro I’m not too fond, but I’m still not sure why.

In other words, #! is just Ubuntu themed with OpenBox. Which I could more or less do myself using Fedora. I’m considering doing it, as I’m more familiar with Fedora than Ubuntu.

I might even try XFCE.

If you want a non-bloated version of Ubuntu that boots really fast, try #!.
