After trying out different Linux flavours and ending up with Fedora, again, I don’t feel at home with this install. I don’t know why, as it is more or less the same setup I previously had. The only difference is that it’s probably not what I hoped for.
Fedora kind of disappointed me with its Fedora 11 release. The sound is not working as expected, which is basically it. Also Wine isn’t working as it should either, which I’m not sure if it’s the Fedora teams fault or the Wine teams fault.
Basically Fedora 10 seemed more compatible with my Eee PC 1000H than what Fedora 11 is. Kind of strange, isn’t it?
I’m thinking about going to FreeBSD, but it won’t install in VirtualBox, and it only recognises the wireless on my Eee PC 701; so I can’t really test it properly.
In other words I feel like I’m in limbo at the moment. I can’t seem to find a distribution that fits my needs, and also supports my hardware.
